Delete your CalChat account and data
You can delete your CalChat account, and the data that goes with it, at any time. There are two ways to do it: in the app, or by email if you no longer have the app installed.
Before you start: cancel Premium in Google Play
If you subscribe to CalChat Premium, cancel the subscription first in the Google Play app under Profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions. Google Play handles billing, so deleting your CalChat account does not stop Play from charging you.
Delete in the app
- Open CalChat and go to Settings.
- Under Account, tap Delete account & data.
- Type YES and tap Delete.
You need an internet connection. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. If it can't finish (for example, you go offline part-way through), the app tells you and your account stays active, so you can simply try again.
Delete by email
Email support@calchat.space from the email address you signed up with, with the subject "Delete my CalChat account". We will confirm the request comes from you, then delete your account and data within 30 days, and reply to let you know it's done.
What gets deleted
- Your account login (email address and password).
- Your profile: name, age, sex, height, weight, goals and calorie and macro targets.
- Everything you logged: meals, drinks, exercise, water and weigh-ins.
- Your conversations with the coach, and your memory notes.
- Your daily motivation messages and usage counters.
- This account's data stored on your phone, which the app clears when the deletion completes.
What we keep, and why
- Purchase records: if you ever subscribed, the record of each purchase, renewal or refund (plan, price, dates). We keep these because tax, accounting and refund rules require it.
- Abuse prevention: a one-way scrambled (hashed) form of your device's ID, plus which accounts have used that device. This stops people from repeatedly deleting and recreating accounts to get more free requests. It doesn't include your name, email or anything you logged.
- Feedback you sent: kept, but no longer linked to your account. If you included your email address in a feedback message and want that removed too, email us.
- Service statistics: counts such as how much AI processing a request used, with your account ID removed. These contain nothing you wrote.
Copies in our database provider's routine backups are overwritten on their normal backup cycle. Until then they are kept secure and not used.
Used CalChat without an account?
Entries made in guest mode are stored under a random ID that isn't linked to your name, your email or any account, so we have no way to identify them from a deletion request.
